At USC:
A deceptively powerful port-side rower, Carin Andersson enters her second year in the USC program after contributing to the success of the JV Eight as a true freshman... in 2007, rowing from the No. 2 seat all season, helped the JV Eight capture the Jackie Ann Stitt Hungness Trophy at the 2007 San Diego Crew Classic... her efforts also helped the JV Eight to a bronze medal third place finish at the Pac-10 Championships and the first Pac-10 Conference team championship for the Trojans... contributed to a top finish at the NCAA Championship petite final for seventh place overall.

Rowing Highlights:
Andersson was a member of the Kungalus Roddklubb for seven years (1999-2006)... a four-time medalist at the Swedish National Regatta, twice as a junior (gold in 2002, silver in 2003) and twice as a senior (silver in 2005, bronze in 2006)... a four-year member of the Swedish RF National Team (2002-2004, 2006) competing in doubles at the Junior World Championships in 2003 and 2004 and solo at the U23 World Championships... won gold at the 2006 Ratzeburg U23 Regatta in Germany and took twelfth in the 2007 Strathclyde U23 Regatta each in the single-scull.

Carin Matilda Andersson was born in Gothenberg, Sweden... a 2006 graduate of the Stromstad Rowing School in Stromstad, Sweden... has two sisters, Camille and Christine... both parents rowed for the Swedish National Team during the 1950's... would like to visit Kenya one day... hopes to work professionally with athletes after she is done with school
