2008: McKibbin, a highly-decorated prepster with Trojan volleyball roots, will compete for playing time at setter as a first-year freshman in 2008 ... HIGH SCHOOL: He led Punahou High in Honolulu, Hi., to 3 straight Division I state titles (2004-2006; boys volleyball is competed in the fall in Hawaii) ... As a senior in 2006, he made the 2007 Volleyball Magazine All-American first team and Volleyball Magazine Fab 50 list and the 2006 state Division I All-Tournament team ... He was a 2006 Mizuno Volleyball Magazine All-American honorable mention pick as a junior ... He made the 2005 Honolulu Advertiser All-State first team and was on the state All-Tournament team ... As a sophomore in 2004, he was a Honolulu Star Bulletin All-State second teamer as Punahou won the state crown ... He also starred in basketball, where he was named the 2007 Interscholastic League of Honolulu Division II Co-Player of the Year (with current Trojan teammate Tri Bourne) while averaging 7.1 points a game ... He and fellow Trojan freshman Tri Bourne won the gold medal at the 2007 AAU Junior National Beach Volleyball Under-20 Championships ... He made the All-Tournament team in the 18 Open division at the 2007 USA Junior Olympic Boys' Volleyball Championships as he led his Outrigger Canoe Club team to the bronze medal ... He competed at the 2006 FIVB U19 Beach World Championships and won a gold medal at the USA Volleyball Junior Olympics U18 Beach Championships ... He made the 2004 USA Volleyball Junior Olympics 16 Open All-Tourney team as his Outrigger Canoe Club team finished second in the tournament ... He won the 2003 USA Volleyball Junior Olympics beach championship with fellow Trojan freshman Tito Goldstein ... He has a pair of relatives who played volleyball at USC: his uncle, Owen McKibbin (who lettered in 1983-84-86-87, as the Trojans finished second at the NCAA Championships his final 2 seasons), and his aunt, Claudia McKibbin (a letterwinner on the Women of Troy's 1980 national championship team) ...
